C17 Globemaster, A Giant Multifunction Aircraft For War And Peace Situations

Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw all US troops present in Afghanistan marks the end of the US occupation of the country. The 20-year occupation that began in 2001 after the events of 9/11 cost a lot of money and casualties on both sides.

Slowly but surely the United States withdrew all its troops from all posts in Afghanistan. And as a result this situation is being exploited by the Taliban to reclaim control of Afghanistan, particularly the capital city of Kabul. This then triggered a massive evacuation of Afghans suspected of being sympathizers from the United States.

These refugees are also afraid of reprisals from the Taliban who have massive control over all places in Afghanistan, especially the city of Kabul.

This massive evacuation finally caught the attention of the world. And the US military eventually had to use their wide-body aircraft to transport refugees out of Kabul. And finally the wide-body C17 Globemaster became the attention of all eyes in the world because the number of refugees they transported was beyond the number usually transported by this plane. In fact, the most C17 GlobeMaster record in transporting refugees has reached 823 people at a time.
