Playing With 10 Players, Chelsea Managed To Hold The Host Liverpool 1-1

Anfield Stadium witnessed the toughness of the visitors Chelsea in facing host Liverpool in the match which took place on Saturday 28 August 2021. The home team could only force a draw against Chelsea who were forced to play with 10 players in the second half.

Chelsea started the match by tending to defend against Liverpool’s onslaught driven by striker Mohammad Salah. But Liverpool were too busy attacking and conceded first through a goal scored by Kai Havertz from Chelsea in the 22nd minute.

And as a result Reece James got a red card for his mistake.

This result brought both teams to the top of the Premier League standings. Chelsea occupies the second position of the standings, followed by Liverpool who occupy the third position of the standings.
